The .NET Developer position has the following duties:

Working with the client to develop system requirements

Passion for learning and mastering new programming technologies and practices

Deploying the solution on-site and providing ongoing support

Ability to be effective working independently and as part of a team

The Software Development team here at Microdesk is focused on designing and delivering primarily geospatial (mapping-based) solutions to our clients. We typically deliver our applications as part of consulting agreements and have the opportunity to develop a wide variety of applications using a variety of technologies. For example, a project may include any of the following elements: ASP .NET web applications, .NET desktop applications, mapping servers (from Autodesk and ESRI), GPS, and mobile data collection components.

Requirements

.NET Developer // C# // VB.NET // CAD // Developer // Programmer // Designer // Computer Science

.NET Developer This .NET Developer has the following requirements:

Experience designing and coding .NET web applications

GUI design (web or desktop)

Desktop and web application development experience (.NET, VB6)

Relational database experience (database design, SQL), Oracle a plus

Reporting tools (Crystal Reports) experience a plus

Familiarity with CAD / GIS software a major plus

Communication skills are essential and experience with web-based GIS solutions, especially Autodesk MapGuide, is highly desirable
