Job Description
*Senior software systems architect for the required back office systems and gateways to deliver end-to-end solutions from company's core products into customers' applications.
*Define and evolve software architecture. The candidate needs to influence technology direction, advance the state-of-the-art, and develop system and architecture design methods, tools, test and integration methods.
General Description of Responsibilities:
• Provide overall technical leadership and technology coordination
• Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Formulates and designs software systems using iterative testing and test modules to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Analyzes service interfaces provided by COTS components and subsystems
• Designs effective system configuration, management, and installation tools to enable system diagnostics, installation, and change management
• Work closely with internal and 3rd party developers on product implementation strategies
• Review and design in key product requirements
• Influence technology directions
• Develop future systems architecture that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Collaborate on customer needs and proposals
• Must be willing and able to be “hands on” in day-to-day tasks
Job Requirements
Work Experience and Skills Requirements:
• 12+ years related experience; including software development experience as a software architect, designer, developer, and technical lead.
• Strong product/systems delivery experience
• Experience in successfully working with 3rd party developers
• Strong background in database, file systems, and operating systems
• Background in .Net framework, object oriented, and message-based service oriented architecture
• Visual Studio proficient
• Experience in multi-customer, distributed application environments preferred
• Knowledge and work experience (preferred) with session and message-based security technologies
• Experience with version control system, such as SourceSafe and CVS
• .Net (C#) 3.0, specifically windows communication framework, experience is a plus
• J2EE experience is a plus
• Knowledge of storage and storage management are a plus
Education/Certification/Technical/Other Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline. Masters preferred.
• Certifications related to the skills requirements are a plus
