The role of the Application Developer is to support First American Default Technologies product suite, employing the latest Microsoft technologies. Responsibilities include application design, maintenance and enhancements, defect identification and resolution, managing and prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines, participation in code review.

Basic Functions:
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
Collaborate with System Analysts during requirements gathering, providing guidance on writing technical specs.
Model practices that ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies/practices
Monitor and provide feedback on project status - anticipating/identifying challenges regarding project goals; implementing corrections where needed
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and IT team members to meet expected customer service levels.
Assist in enhancing application development standards
Troubleshoot a variety of complex issues and identify solutions within broad applications and functional expertise.
Regularly provide input to define and implement conceptual issues
Regularly interact with offshore Development team and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
Qualifications
Technical requirements:
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Application Design and relational databases
BA/BS degree, with a concentration in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of web services
Minimum 3+ years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, ASP and SQL Server
Knowledge of XML technologies preferable
Experience in dealing with interaction between host and web systems a plus
Previous experience in mortgage or finance industry is helpful
Experience with various computer platforms and application environments

Experience with Mortgage Servicing a plus
